Every path to God is a personal experience, a private journey. No one path is inherently superior, as all paths to God are valid and useful.

In May 2004, I was sick in bed with pneumonia for 9 days. I stayed in bed like the doctor told me to, but had this consuming energy to do something. In their book, “O” God: A Dialogue on Truth and Oprah’s Spirituality, Christian evangelical apologists Josh McDowell and Dave Sterrett claim that Oprah Winfrey has misguided and incorrect spiritual beliefs.
The men assert that Oprah and her friends — individuals Oprah features on the Oprah Winfrey Show and Oprah Radio and in O Magazine — are promoting false religious beliefs that do not mesh with true Christian teachings.

Farrah Fawcett and Ed McMahon are reported to be Catholic while Michael Jackson was a Jehovah’s Witness and Walter Cronkite was an Episcopalian. Some who belong to these religions may feel assured that because of their respective religious affiliations all is well with each of them.
The Biblical view is that they may have ended up with God after death not because of their religion but in spite of it. The Bible view of salvation is quite explicit and involves no requirement to belong to any specific religion.
