Salvation through Resurrection
What are the main reason of salvation and resurrection? both of them are connected with Easter day, The day when Jesus Christ rise from the dead and live again with flesh and bone. And more importantly its the day that show that He is true God and human. For many people these days just means limited to the obligation to go to church and enjoy the holiday. After that, life will continue running as usual.
It’s sad how we as Christians are so easy to forget the true meaning of Easter. Easter means that God we have the power of death. Jesus Christ was dead, but the more important thing is that Jesus rose again and now sits at the right hand of God the Father.
Jesus was truly triumphed over death. What he did more than just a magic trick Houdini. Praise may be our admiration while watching the action catapult escape from death a la David Copperfield and other colleagues. But the challengers of this death will face death one day. They have limited powers.
And Jesus, the God we worship, greater than them all. Jesus has power over death forever. Jesus Christ’s life and reign for ever and ever, no matter whether you believe in this fact or not. But that’s what happened.
Do not stop there. Jesus also give life to those who trust in Him. This is the second miracle of Easter. Through the work of God on the cross, we too have the same access to life in eternity. Holy Protection hermitage Goloseevskaya (свято-покровская голосеевская пустынь)
Says in Romans 1:16-17, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
Today I encourage each of us to ponder the wonders of God’s power and His love for us. Jesus knows you. Jesus knows what you have done. Even Jesus knows what you will do. Jesus knows what comes in your mind. But the real Jesus is waiting for your response. God does not need praise or your service to Him; he wants is allied to YOU personally.
